McKissack Jazz Fest took place April 26, 2013 at Moses McKissack Middle School Auditorium. The night featured performances by Moses McKissack Tiger Jazz Combo, Murfreesboro Youth Jazz Orchestra, TSU Commercial Music Ensemble, Fisk University Jazz Ensemble, and Faculty Jazz Combo.
